Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Wurrup, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use Wurrup. We may request age verification and will terminate accounts we reasonably believe are underage.

3. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for your account, credentials, and all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

4. Safety & Offline Conduct

You are solely responsible for your interactions on and off the App. Wurrup does not conduct background checks. Always meet in public spaces and exercise caution.

5. Community Rules & Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Violate our Community Guidelines or engage in harassment, hate, or abuse.
  • Post nudity, sexual content, or content involving minors.
  • Impersonate others, misrepresent identity, or use deceptive photos.
  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated systems to access the App.
  • Solicit money, run scams, or engage in fraudulent activity.
  • Promote illegal activity, drugs, or weapons.

6. Content Ownership & License

You own the content you submit. You grant Wurrup a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display your content to operate and improve the service. This license ends when you delete your content or account, subject to retention requirements.

You may not scrape, copy, or misuse other members' content or information.

7. Subscriptions & Auto-Renewal

Paid features may be offered on monthly or annual plans. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date. Billing is handled by Apple In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing. All purchases are final except where required by law, and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion, including for safety risks or violations. If your account is terminated for breach, you are not entitled to refunds for paid features.

9. Disclaimers

WURRUP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wurrup is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including damages arising from offline interactions.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Wurrup harmless from claims arising out of your use of the App, your content, or violation of these Terms.

12. Dispute Resolution

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. It affects your rights. You and Wurrup agree to resolve disputes by binding arbitration on an individual basis. You waive the right to participate in a class action.

Arbitration will be administered by ADR Institute of Canada (ADRIC) under its rules and will take place in Ontario, Canada, unless otherwise required by law. Either party may bring a claim in small claims court if eligible.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
